The Greater Eagle Fire Protection District, located in central Colorado, serves the towns of Eagle, Wolcott, Fulford, Bond, McCoy and State Bridge, providing fire, EMS, Haz-Mat and rescue services. The town of Eagle, at an elevation of 6600 feet, has a historical background, is a fast growing community and has a sense of family. In addition to serving the populated town areas, Eagle Fire Department also serves the outlying forest and wilderness areas. Because of the diverse mountain environment, the fire department provides service for wildland fires and a variety of rescue missions, including ice rescue, swiftwater rescue and mountain rescue.
